Email addresses in Fauna are unique items; this means if you're already using Fauna on your own, you won't be able to be added to a Team or Business account with that same address. But you do have some options to resolve this:
- You can rename the old account to something like
jane.doe+oldaccount@customer.email
. Anything after a + in an email address gets ignored and is sent to the same inbox as what is to the left of the +. So this would allow you to add your proper email to the new one, while still keeping your old account and database(s) available. - You can simply delete the old account, then you can invite it to your Team account. For now, that means opening a ticket using the link below. But the ability to self-manage and delete your account on your own is on our roadmap and will be available in the near future.
- If you need to merge your old account and database(s) into the new Team account that gets tricky. In this case, please open a Support ticket and we'll work with our engineering teams to resolve it for you.
